Kaylin is a writer and artist based out of Toronto. She is an avid fan of oxygen and an even bigger fan of left-handed people. Her most outstanding achievement is being a left-handed guitar player, despite writing primarily with her right hand. She has a long list of favourite things, including reading to others aloud, elephants, Scandinavian compound words, and orchestras tuning before a show. Kaylin’s writing is heavily inspired by the Romantic and Gothic writing periods. However, she has had neither Cholera nor TB, so she cannot truly relate her writing as such. However, she has occasionally thought about developing a gin dependency to see if it gets her some brownie points.

Her inspirations include Sylvia Plath since she believes Plath could realistically envision a life that she did not live so profoundly; it ultimately killed her, Ernest Hemingway (see the desire for gin lust above). Franz Kafka, who was so bitter and oppressed, they named a word after him for something reminiscent of bitterness and oppression, and if that isn’t life goals, I don’t know, man.

Kaylin’s art is a collection of paint, poetry, prose and nonsense and is a manifestation of her brain using colours and the written word.
